New Year's Eve in Riga (5 days/4 nights)
Day 1 (Sunday): Arrival in Riga
Arrival of the group. Meeting with the local English speaking tour guide at the Riga airport. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in at the Hotel GRAND POET ***** located in the historical center of Riga or at the Hotel GRAND PALACE ***** located in the Old Town of Riga. Welcome drink.
Guided walking tour through the Old Town with an organ concert in the Dome Cathedral of Riga (entrance fee).
OPTIONAL: dinner in a restaurant in the Old Town
Day 2 (Monday): Art Nouveau
Continuation of the sightseeing city tour, including:
Sightseeing city tour by coach and guided walking through the Art Nouveau district.
Visit to the National Art Museum (entrance fee), newly opened in 2016 - a prestige object that has been realized with European co-financing.
Small coffee break and tasting of the Riga Black Balsam in the Old Town.
Visit to the Opera house - "Behind the scenes" (entrance fee).
Free time: visit the Esplanade Christmas Market, next to the magnificent Orthodox Nativity Cathedral in Neo-Byzantine style.
OPTIONAL: Visit to the GALA concert at the National Opera
Day 3 (Tuesday): Rundale
Transfer to Rundale (Zemgale region). Guided tour of the baroque palace of the Duke Biron of Kurland in Rundale, built by Bartholomeo Rastrelli (entrance fee)
Return to Riga.
OPTIONAL: New Year's Eve dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Day 4 (Wednesday): Seaside
Excursion to the popular sea resort Jurmala. Sightseeing of the traditional wooden architecture in the Art Nouveau style. Walk on the beach with 100-year-old pines.
OPTIONAL: Lunch at the beach restaurant overlooking the sea in Jurmala
Return to Riga.
Leasure time.
OPTIONAL: Dinner in the restaurant in the Old Town
Day 5 (Thursday): Departure
Check out.
Departure from Riga. Transfer to the Riga airport. End of the service of the tour guide.
Departure of the group.
